Meet Alastair Schirmer our guest speaker

Alastair Schirmer is the General Manager, Technology and Innovation of TQSolutions, Australia’s leading advisory firm for talent and people strategy, recruitment, and careers consulting. Alastair leads TQ’s HR Technology consulting services, advising some of Australia’s largest employers on how they can optimise their technology to solve a critical issue for businesses today: how to attract and retain talent.

Alastair and his team help TQ’s clients navigate the increasingly complex HR and talent technology landscape, ensuring they make the right tech investment, solution design and architecture decisions. This work includes advising CEOs and HR decision makers on talent tech innovation and market trends, future-state planning, solving critical people issues via tech and AI, solution design and implementation, user journey mapping and tech platform integration.

Alastair is passionate about the role of technology, automation and AI for both talent and employers, ensuring businesses build the right technology stack and they utilise AI and automation to enhance the talent experience, as well as deliver accurate workforce intelligence. He regularly writes and is invited to present on critical market trends in this space.
