Position Overview

Access Community Services are recruiting for 10 Paid Full Time Hospitality Trainees to commence mid June as part of the Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative for a period of 22 weeks. Get paid to learn, grow & develop a broad range of skills whilst completing your Certificate I in Hospitality. You will work in a Hospitality environment completing tasks such as assisting customers & guests in an informative way, providing service support to the workplace supervisor, taking and delivering customer orders whilst promising excellent customer service. The role is between Monday to Friday and you will complete learning and assessments outcomes as part of the traineeship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide service support to your workplace supervisor as directed and ensure you are a proactive team member.
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly engaging service, by assisting customers and guests in a helpful, information way, ensuring to take and deliver customer orders whilst promising excellent customer service.
  • Follow Host Employer policies, procedures and service standards, including following all safety and sanitization policies and procedures for food and beverage handling and ensuring cleanliness, follow cash handling procedures as directed.
  • Carry out administrative, receptionist, client assistance, information handling and other processing tasks if required or directed, ensuring you maintain any records in a neat and orderly manner and assist other team members wherever necessary to maintain good working relationships.
  • Complete all required and requested tasks and prioritise your own tasks to meet appropriate deadlines and to a high standard.
