Salary Range: (Band 5) $91,900.00 - $104,172.00 plus superannuation (Remuneration stated is for a full-time position)  

Work type:  Temporary fulltime 

Duration: Up to 12 months  

Location: Brisbane Square, Brisbane CBD

Our Branch  

The Corporate Finance branch, partners with stakeholders to ensure financial sustainability of Council, through high quality financial reporting, advice and services, efficient systems with reliable information and financial process governance across Council to deliver optimal outcomes.  

The Role  

Your role will be to provide high level administrative and management support to the Corporate Finance branch and Chief Financial Officer. Your day-to-day duties will involve coordinating activities of the Branch Manager’s Office, providing administrative leadership and management of correspondence, administrative processes and systems, Executive diary management and communication support for the branch.   

A key feature of this role is supporting the Chief Financial Officer and the senior leadership team Executive and regularly liaising with senior stakeholders across and outside the business. As such, the proven ability to liaise and negotiate with people at all levels of the organisation is essential to undertaking this role.  

Your organisational skills will ensure these operations run smoothly and your adaptability to address requests as they arise, will be an asset to the team. The team you will be joining is highly productive, passionate about delivering quality service and outcomes to the residents of Brisbane and working together.  

To be successful you will have: 

  • Well-developed written communication skills to draft, proofread and edit a range of business and customer correspondence.  
  • Demonstrated high level skills and substantial experience in providing a range of proactive executive, administrative and business support services.  
  • Proven experience in the development and implementation of effective administrative systems and procedures for providing quality and timely service. 
  • Demonstrated time management and organisation skills, including the ability to plan, organise and coordinate work to meet set deadlines and outcomes while dealing with a variety of work demands and changing priorities. 
  • Experience effectively managing an executive diary and addressing conflicts with strong coordination skills and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
