Our Branch

Support Services provides Council's efficient back-of-house support to allow for more resources to be focused on Council’s front-line service delivery. Support Services provides a wide range of support to all areas of Council, including information management, financial management, employee services and payment and supply services.

The Role

The Solution Centre is looking for a Senior Solutions Centre Consultant to provide advice, support and guidance to Council employees as well as Solution Centre Consultants. You will help to resolve enquiries based on policies, procedures and guidelines relating to human resources, finance, procurement, and assets and works in an SAP environment. This role plays an important leadership role in maintaining the quality, currency and accuracy of the knowledge base and investigating complex customer issues.

As the Senior Solutions Centre Consultant, you will:

  • manage complex customer issues in a high paced customer services environment
  • mentor and support Solution Centre Consultants by providing leadership and on-the-job coaching to build their capability and confidence
  • identify customer trends and emerging issues
  • collate, analyse and interpret data, trends and performance
  • communicate effectively to support a professional culture and workforce productivity
  • apply a proactive and continuous improvement approach to both individual and team work.

To be successful you will have:

  • demonstrated experience in a high-volume customer service environment, using problem solving skills and a collaborative approach
  • proven interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to negotiate and influence customers, partners and stakeholders
  • highly developed time management skills
  • proven experience in maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information
  • ability to lead, provide coaching and professional development to team members
  • well-developed ability to investigate and resolve complex and sensitive issues.
