Our Branch
Information Services Branch (ISB) supports and enables nearly all of Council’s day-to-day activities and services through efficient, flexible and innovative ICT solutions. ISB leads the ICT strategy that supports the business objectives of Council as a whole, as well as information management and ICT service delivery in Council.
The Role
The primary objective of the Application Portfolio Manager role is to ensure comprehensive application management services. Success in this role requires building and maintaining key relationships across a diverse group of stakeholders, including managing a suite of vendors to ensure optimal service management for your applications. Familiarity with service management frameworks such as ITIL, along with exceptional leadership and influencing capabilities, is essential. You will serve as a trusted advisor to Council stakeholders.
Reporting to the Application Services Manager, this role offers a reasonable degree of autonomy while necessitating close collaboration with team members and customer service delivery teams to manage dependencies and establish key priorities.
To be successful you will have:
- strong experience in service management and ICT operational processes, in-particular ITIL Application Management
- proven experience in end-to-end lifecycle management for applications across a range of service models. This includes establishing and maintaining application roadmaps
- proven ability to manage multiple vendors, ensuring Council’s needs are captured in product roadmaps and vendor SLAs are managed
- demonstrable experience to build key relationships with wide range of stakeholders
- proven ability to engage and understand customer business needs and user requirements ensuring strategic alignment is established and communicated
- ability to manage financial administration related to service delivery
- exceptional leadership and influencing capabilities including evidence of capabilities in Council’s Leadership Blueprint
The successful candidate will be added to an on-call roster which involves being available on-call including outside of normal business hours and the potential of work outside business hours.
This role requires a Criminal History Check for preferred candidates.
You may be required to undertake a pre-employment medical assessment to assess your ability to perform the genuine occupational requirements of the role.
