About the Role:
We're looking for a Senior Measurement Engineer to be a subject matter expert and leader in our team, providing top-notch technical support, guidance, and operational excellence for measurement assets and processes in the Northwest Region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert advice on Meter Station, Gas Quality, Linebreak, and Pressure Control and Overpressure (PC/OPP) to internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee and guide the design and operation of meter stations and PC/OPP systems to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Plan and complete the Measurement Canada High and Low Intervention regulatory requirements annually, in collaboration with various teams.
- Develop and enforce a comprehensive gas quality program, with an emphasis on standards, procedures, and reporting.
- Review and approve third-party PC/OPP designs and reports.
- Provide technical support and problem-solving expertise for equipment and measurement data issues.
- Perform critical technical calculations and develop cost-effective solutions for business cases.
- Maintain and develop measurement standards and respond efficiently to management of change (MOC) initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with 7+ years of experience, or 10+ years of relevant field operations measurement experience.
- In-depth experience with measurement equipment in the natural gas industry.
- Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (CSA, AGA, API, GPA) and regulatory requirements (OPR, Measurement Canada Regulations).
- Strong proficiency with controllers like Bristol ControlWave and FB1200/FB3000.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders effectively.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily office-based with potential travel to field locations across North America (approx. 15% travel time).
- Occasional work outside regular office hours may be required.
