About the Role:

  • This position is a key member of the Strategy & Engagement team, supporting Projects’ processes that enable delivery of core services and alignment across the Projects organization.
  • You will play a central role in executing initiatives led by the Strategy, Planning & Performance (SPP) team, contributing to Projects-wide (and broader enterprise) programs.
  • The role focuses heavily on developing strategic communications, plans, presentations, and engagement materials that support organizational strategy, capabilities, resourcing, and overall team alignment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with senior leaders to create compelling communications, presentations, and materials that support Projects’ strategy, engagement priorities, capabilities development, and workforce resourcing.
  • Lead the development of communications for Projects, ensuring alignment with Enbridge enterprise messaging in collaboration with Public Affairs, Communications & Sustainability (PACS).
  • Ensure all content reflects Projects’ strategic focus and adheres to brand standards and tone.
  • Support Projects’ annual communication planning and engagement activities designed to align team performance with organizational priorities.
  • Track, manage, and report on communication and engagement metrics for the Projects team.
  • Respond promptly to ad‑hoc needs from various stakeholders, effectively prioritizing multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Provide strategic communications guidance for:
  • People leader communications
  • Projects capabilities and resourcing initiatives
  • Workshops, events, and other organizational programs
  • Lead the development, coordination, and communication of Projects’ video series highlighting project work and team members.
  • Ensure effective use of communication channels (e.g., intranet, Viva Engage, SharePoint, email).
  • Manage quick and efficient turnaround of materials while maintaining accuracy and strategic alignment.

Scope/Dimensions:

  • Work closely with the Projects Leadership Team to prepare communications, presentations, and related materials.
  • Lead review and approval processes to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment.
  • Maintain strong understanding of Projects’ business operations and its interactions with other units (e.g., Safety, Environment, Land, PACS).
  • Navigate continuous and demanding timelines while producing high-visibility materials.

Contacts/Working Relationships:

  • Collaborate extensively with the PACS team to ensure alignment with enterprise messaging and to access specialized services such as graphic design, video production, and editing.
  • Proactively interface with Projects leadership, subject matter experts, and cross-functional partners (Safety, Environment, Land, etc.).

Qualifications:

Required:

  • University degree or diploma in Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Exceptional communication skills, especially in writing and presentation development.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, compelling content.
  • Collaborative team player comfortable working across many levels of the organization.
  • High curiosity and eagerness to learn.
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate communications or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly PowerPoint.

Preferred:

  • Experience working with or within a Projects organization.
  • Familiarity with Projects’ structure, processes, and functional interactions.

Working Conditions:

  • Office-based environment.
  • Above-average stress level due to high visibility of work and competing priorities.
  • Occasional travel required.
