Job Overview
The Senior Project Manager – Work Management and Change is responsible for leading complex, cross-functional initiatives that drive organizational change, operational efficiency, and strategic business outcomes for the client. This role translates work management priorities into actionable plans and ensures disciplined project execution from initiation through sustainment. The Senior Project Manager oversees all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring clear scope definition, comprehensive planning, effective risk mitigation, and transparent communication. They develop and manage integrated project plans, schedules, financial forecasts, and resource strategies to deliver initiatives on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives, with a strong emphasis on measurable value realization. Working closely with change management specialists and key stakeholders, this role ensures business readiness by aligning process, system, and organizational impacts with adoption strategies. The Senior Project Manager champions consistent planning practices, promotes data-driven decision-making, and advances sustainable ways of working across project and business teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of project management, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout
- Define and manage project scope, cost-benefit analysis, communications plans, risk logs, and sustainment strategies
- Translate strategic objectives into executable project plans aligned with work management priorities
- Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, financial forecasts, and resource plans
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies proactively
- Drive value-focused, measurable outcomes aligned with governance frameworks and business goals
- Develop and manage interdependencies, overlapping roadmaps, and timelines across initiatives
- Provide clear, concise, and transparent reporting to leadership on progress, risks, interdependencies, and mitigation plans
- Partner closely with change specialists to ensure business readiness and sustainable adoption of systems and process changes
- Champion disciplined planning methodologies and data-driven decision-making practices
Qualifications
- University degree and 15+ years of progressive project management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Expert knowledge of project management methodologies, organizational change management, communications, training, reporting, and sustainment practices
- Demonstrated strategic and big-picture thinking with the ability to make timely decisions and deliver results
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Proven experience leading change management initiatives and influencing stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, negotiation, and consensus-building skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and related tools, including SharePoint, MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
Working Conditions
- Travel approximately 5 days per month within Ontario and the United States
- Hybrid work model: onsite Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday; remote Wednesday and Friday
