The opportunity

The Credit Analyst is a entry to mid-level position joining the Credit Analytics Team to drive profitable acquisition through the effective and efficient use of automated credit solutions. A primary focus of the team is the development and on-going monitoring of the credit decision process for both new and existing customers, including the deployment of fraud prevention tools. Based in North Sydney, the successful candidate will be supporting the credit analytics team in reporting, analytics, and decision system deployments to drive analytic based decisions in the credit and application fraud space.


  • Build and automate credit management reporting that supports Credit & Fraud operations
  • Produce ad-hoc reports/analytics to support Credit & Fraud operations
  • Support the configuration, testing and implementation of strategies in the credit decision engine
  • Maintain documentation of credit workflow
  • Delivers data that provides insights to other TPG analytics teams
  • Provide strategic input into TPG’s credit data assets management and manage day-to-day data integrity issues.
  • Support initiatives that ensure customer acquisition and existing customer accept rates are maintained at an optimum level while ensuring bad debt levels are maintained.

Knowledge and experience

  • A successful track record in reporting / analytics field (2 years+). Credit risk analytics experience is a plus
  • A tertiary degree in a numeric discipline e.g. statistics, engineering, IT, mathematics or equivalent
  • Proven experience in SAS & SQL programming. Knowledge of Excel VBA is a plus
  • Experience in system testing and configuration of decision systems is desired by not essential. Knowledge of Decision Point, Powercurve/SM or Inteflow/IDS is a plus
  • Experience working with large amounts of raw data
  • Demonstrated use of initiative, planning, innovative decision making and problem-solving skills
