Your opportunity:

As a Finance Manager, your role is to support the financial analysis and reporting for the margin section of the P&L and balance sheet. You will also work with stakeholders to help ensure that any accounting and/or processes related to margin is streamlined and documented. 

Responsibilities:

• Manage the inventory and subsidy month end process to ensure all journals and reconciliations are done on a timely basis and in accordance with the monthly timetable.
• Manage the Balance Sheet reconciliations for all assigned account codes, investigate and resolve variance and comply with the Governance guidelines.
• Supporting the margin team developing an in depth understanding of device margin all other inventory and customer investment margin costs and documenting system flows and associated transactions.
• Working collaboratively with the Senior Manager and respective stakeholders in ensuring the costs of any new product launches are understood and the gross margin of such offerings appear reasonable. Provide guidance to the business on the accounting for these new product costs, and where required, liaising with Accounting Governance team to ensure group policy accurately captures implications of the new product.
• Work closely with logistics and network team to optimise business processes to support financial accuracy of inventory.
• Working with margin assurance team to ensure that the impact of issues identified are well understood and assist in designing processes to mitigate impacts.
• Assist in any ad hoc analysis and commentary on monthly movements to management, highlighting the underlying drivers behind the respective area.
• Support in performing user acceptance testing on activities relating to Revenue and Margin including new product launches, changes to billing platform and Revenue recognition policies.
• Coach, support and help with the skills development of the more junior financial accountants in our offshore team. 

What you’ll bring:

• Ability to work independently to achieve results yet still able to maintain communication.
• Good stakeholder management.
• Ability to manage to deadlines.
• Proactive approach to issue resolution.
• Flexible / adaptable approach, balancing well stakeholder objectives with company (financial) objectives.
• Advanced Excel skills, proficient at using Word and PowerPoint.
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Preferably finance qualified with CPA/CIMA/CA/MBA or equivalent.
