About the Opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic Strategy team as a Commercial Analyst, focusing on pricing analytics and revenue optimization. We’re seeking a highly analytical, commercially savvy professional who excels in evaluating pricing structures, market dynamics, and performance metrics. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving data-driven pricing strategies, optimizing profitability, and delivering insights that directly impact our revenue growth. This role requires expertise in business analytics, pricing frameworks, and strategic recommendations to support our competitive edge.
Key Responsibilities:
Pricing Strategy & Commercial Analysis:
- Develop and refine pricing models that maximize revenue and profitability across our product offerings.
- Conduct in-depth market analysis to assess competitive pricing, market trends, and customer behavior, recommending data-driven pricing adjustments.
- Provide insights to support commercial pricing decisions, enhancing our position within target markets.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Collect and analyze data from various sources (e.g., sales, finance, customer insights) to assess pricing effectiveness and revenue impact.
- Create regular reports and dashboards on pricing performance, tracking key metrics, trends, and any pricing discrepancies.
Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams:
- Partner closely with product, sales, marketing, and finance teams to align pricing strategies with overall business objectives.
- Facilitate discussions with stakeholders to ensure cohesive and strategic pricing practices across teams.
Process Improvement & Governance:
- Identify opportunities to streamline pricing processes, improving efficiency and agility in pricing decision-making.
- Establish pricing governance processes and ensure adherence to company policies and industry standards.
Based in North Sydney, you’ll join a collaborative, experienced team passionate about delivering exceptional client service and commercial success across various industries. Skills and Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in a commercial analyst or pricing strategy role within media, advertising, or a related sector, with strong commercial and market acumen.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field, with proven financial modeling, scenario analysis, and problem-solving expertise.
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel and Power BI, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in data interpretation and reporting.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and engage collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines, with a results-focused mindset and a proactive, team-oriented approach.
