About the opportunity :

  • Location: This pivotal role is based in our vibrant North Sydney office
  • Contract Length: This is a fixed-term, 12-month contract opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Business Analyst who has participated in multiple HRIS transformations. This role requires expertise in HRIS implementations and technology replatforming. Reporting to the HRIS Project Manager, the Business Analyst will work closely with HR, IT, and Finance teams to gather, map, and document requirements, analyse processes, and support the successful implementation of the HRIS transformation. The role will focus on requirements gathering, gap analysis, and process optimisation.


Key Responsibilities and Experience:

  • Gather and document business and functional requirements for HRIS and payroll.
  • Conduct gap analysis and recommend process improvements for HR and payroll.
  • Support replatforming of Time and Attendance and other HRIS components.
  • Facilitate workshops to define workflows, user stories, and integration needs.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and data privacy standards.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams for solution validation and UAT support.
  • Provide ongoing support in change management and system adoption.


Experience and Skills:

  • 5+ years as a Business Analyst in HRIS projects.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, payroll, and system integrations.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms (Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM).
  • Ability to translate business needs into functional requirements and user stories.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Business Analysis Certification (CBAP, CCBA) is a plus.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma or DMAIC methodologies is highly regarded for process optimisation work.
