Salary Range: Band 4 $89,207 - $95,764 + Superannuation (Remuneration stated is for the full-time positions) 

Work type: Temporary Full-time 

Duration: Up to 12 months (Extension/s thereafter but not guaranteed)

Our Branch  

The Corporate Venues and Reception team plays a critical role in ensuring a professional and welcoming experience for all visitors to Council’s corporate offices at Brisbane Square and Green Square. We manage reception services and coordinate conference and training facilities, supporting staff and leaders across Council to deliver for the city. 

The Role  

We are seeking multiple Corporate Reception and Venues Coordinators to join our team. These roles are the face of Brisbane City Council at Brisbane Square and Green Square, providing exceptional customer service and managing the day-to-day operations of reception and corporate venues. 

You will be required to work across the two central locations, ensuring smooth visitor registration, parcel management, and the coordination of conference and training rooms. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same! You will be required to juggle competing priorities, maintain high standards of professionalism, and deliver outstanding service to both internal and external customers. 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • greeting and welcoming visitors, managing registration and issuing security passes 
  • managing deliveries and ensuring secure storage and timely collection 
  • coordinating bookings for conference, training and carers facilities using Council’s Helix system 
  • preparing and setting up rooms to client specifications and organisational standards 
  • maintaining calendars, booking confirmations and supplier instructions 
  • providing clear directions and support to customers using self-service resources.  

To be successful you will have: 

  • proven experience delivering high-quality customer service in a busy environment 
  • excellent communication skills and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders 
  • strong time management and attention to detail with the ability to prioritise competing tasks under minimal supervision  
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence using booking systems  
  • ability to work onsite five days per week and participate in rostered shifts between ranging between 7:30am and 5pm 
  • experience in a high-paced reception or corporate venue environment (desirable).
