Our Branch
The Compliance and Regulatory Services Branch (CARS) contributes to the health, safety and amenity of Brisbane through a range of licensing and best practice regulatory services, ensuring Brisbane remains live-able, vibrant and accessible.
Within this branch, the Parking Compliance Team plays a vital role in regulating parking across the city. Responding to over 40,000 complaints annually and proactively patrolling traffic areas using smart technology ensuring Brisbane stays mobile and accessible.
The Role
We’re seeking two highly motivated and results driven leaders with a passion for building high-performing teams. As Parking Supervisor, you will be a key part of our leadership team, responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of our parking compliance services.
You will lead, motivate and develop a multidisciplinary team, shaping a positive culture within a results driven high performing team. Your role will involve coordinating deployment plans, rostering, and managing complaints, while guiding daily operations and providing critical support to the Parking Business Manager.
You’ll be responsible for managing SAP systems, conducting monthly performance reviews, and responding promptly to correspondence and enquiries from the public and Councillors. You’ll also deliver training programs to ensure your team is equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on role that requires strong governance, excellent communication, and the ability to manage complex logistics. You’ll also use data analysis to inform decisions, drive service improvements, and cultivate a leadership approach that is supportive while upholding accountability.
To be successful you will have:
- demonstrated leadership aligned with Council’s Leadership Blueprint, with the ability to lead confidently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- proven ability to balance a personable and assertive leadership style, fostering a culture of support, empowerment, and accountability.
- strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with the capacity to engage effectively.
- proven ability to negotiate and liaise with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring collaborative and effective outcomes.
- experience in coordinating compliance actions and preparing reports, with attention to detail and regulatory awareness.
- excellent time management and workload prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage complex logistics and competing demands.
- a collaborative approach to fostering a cohesive team environment, where individuals feel valued and motivated to perform at their best.
- in-depth knowledge of Queensland’s local government regulatory framework, with practical experience applying it in operational contexts.
