As Information Support Officer, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure the effective implementation of the University’s Record Governance Policy, ensuring compliance with government legislation and industry standards.

In this role you will:

  • Respond to email and phone enquiries, and offer guidance and support for recordkeeping and the use of our Electronic Document and Record Management System (TRIM).
  • Provide advice on the retention and disposal of both physical and digital records.
  • Coordinate the maintenance of Record Governance Service files and records.

This fixed term position is until December 2024, is full time (job share will be considered for right candidates), and will be located at the Callaghan Campus (Awabakal and Worimi land).

You will use your organisational skills and attention to detail to support legislative compliance and the maintenance of recordkeeping standards across our University.

You will have:

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Knowledge of records management legislation and standards.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Document and Record Management Systems (TRIM is preferred).

 

What we offer

The remuneration for this position is from $71,626 to $77,858 + 17% superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience.

  1. Completion of a diploma level qualification with relevant work-related experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and or education/training.
  2. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of software applications such as TRIM and Microsoft Office suite including an ability to extract, manipulate and report on data from large corporate systems.
  3. Commitment to the delivery of quality client services.
  4. Strong organisational skills including the ability to organise workflows to meet competing demands and adaptability to a range of workplace expectations and responsibilities.
  5. A good understanding of the requirements of confidentiality and best practise recordkeeping processes.
  6. Good interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written) including the capacity to deal effectively with a diverse group of people.
