In collaboration with our member sports Judo Australia, Australian Taekwondo and Wrestling Australia, the Combat Institute of Australia Limited (CombatAUS) has responsibility for managing the elite high performance programs across Olympic combat sports in Australia.
This innovative approach delivers enhanced outcomes by ensuring a dedicated high performance focus, increased and more secure funding, and access to a greater range of performance support services.
The Role
The CombatAUS nominations committee is calling for EOIs from suitable individuals to join the CombatAUS board to fill two (2) vacant appointed Directors positions.
Experience in sports governance and an understanding of the Australian sporting landscape are preferred. Other relevant skills/attributes/experience include:
- Experience and knowledge of corporate governance
- Prior board experience and an understanding of the role of the board
- Effective demonstrated leadership capabilities

All Expressions of Interest received will be reviewed by the CombatAUS Nominations Committee, which will then undertake a process to identify preferred candidates to be recommended to the CombatAUS board for endorsement.
