Gymnastics Australia (GA) is the pre-eminent organisation responsible for the development of the sport of gymnastics in Australia, with a vision of creating an inspiring gymnastics experience for every Australian.
The role
As a director, you will be a part of an exciting period of transformation where we are looking to grow participation in the sport and build the sport’s profile.
We are looking for individuals who share a passion for this sport and are excited by the prospect of contributing the strategic direction of gymnastics in Australia. Top candidates will be individuals that think strategically, are comfortable making critical decisions and are willing to roll up the sleeves to contribute.
GA has assessed the current skills composition and future strategic needs of the board and is seeking candidates with the following skills/experience:
- Financial management, accounting and/or risk management (ideally CPA or equivalent professional accreditation and Board/partner-level experience)
- Corporate affairs, public/government relations, media communications and/or critical issues management
- Commercial and partnership expertise (sport-sector related)
- Strategic planning and people governance
