About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accountant to support our finance team. The successful candidate will assist with internal reporting, budgeting, financial analysis, and statutory reporting, while maintaining accurate records and reconciliations. Additionally, the role also supports audits, grant reporting, and process improvements.
The role would suit a candidate with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach.
This is a permanent full time position working 38 hours per week between Monday to Friday.
What we’re looking for
The successful applicant will be required to meet the following criteria:
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CA/CPA or progression towards it
- 3 years minimum in a similar accounting role
- Basic understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and management accounting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, familiarity with accounting software is desirable
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Efficient communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong attention to detail
- Collaboration within a dynamic finance team
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of diversity and social inclusion- including gender, sexuality, disability, cultural, age, and linguistic diversity and Aboriginal culture.
