About the Role

Located on James Street in Northbridge, the Ruah Engagement Hub offers a safe space for adults over 20 years who are experiencing homelessness. As well as providing a safe space to rest and refresh, the centre also offers access to specialist support services. Drop in services include assertive advocacy, crisis accommodation referrals, document support, case management referrals, and rest facilities.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing one-on-one support across various services with a “no wrong door” approach.
  • Delivering activity-based and daily living skills support based on care plans and risk assessments.
  • Managing caseloads and maintain client files and records.
  • Monitoring and reporting on service delivery, addressing any concerns with the Team Lead.
  • Preparing for and actively participate in supervision.
  • Handling timesheets, travel records, worker expenses, and other administrative tasks.

This is a full time role on a maximum term until 30 June 2027. The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm.

What we’re looking for

The successful applicant will be required to meet the following criteria:

  • Ability to work independently and contribute to the functioning of the team.
  • Ability to work with individuals within different levels of needs and maintain a professional relationship.
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Has basic computer skills including ability to effectively use Microsoft Office and Client Database.
  • Knowledge and understanding of diversity, gender and social inclusion, particularly Aboriginal Culture.
