The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and DevOps specialist focussed in application and cloud security, to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure services specifically with a Security lens, on both Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure platforms. This role involves working closely with development teams to ensure secure deployment, scalability of applications, vulnerability management, high availability and security configuration of cloud resources and applications.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop, Design, and implement scalable, reliable, and secure cloud configurations and applications.
  • Perform architecture reviews and provide guidance on cloud architecture improvements.
  • Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
  • Implement and manage continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, including automated security checks.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits with native and 3rd party tools.
  • Vulnerability Management, assessment, prioritisation.
  • Patching and version management. 

In order to be successful for this position:

  • 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role. 
  • Solid understanding of coding in JavaScript
  • Understanding of OWASP top 10 vulnerabilities.
  • Understanding of Security risk management and control frameworks (ISO27001, CIS)
  •  Solid knowledge of cloud services across both AWS and MS Azure.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash or PowerShell
  •  Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts and cloud security practices.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernete)
