Summary

As a Mechanical Packaging Engineering Intern, you will have the unique opportunity to work alongside some of the industry's most skilled professionals. You’ll receive guidance and mentorship, gaining valuable, hands-on experience in cosmetic packaging design and development.

What We're Looking For

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, or a related field
  • Some academic or internship experience in product development or packaging is a plus
  • Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks experience is helpful but not required)
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word)
  • Detail-oriented and eager to learn in a collaborative environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with different teams
  • A general interest in packaging, beauty, or consumer products

What You’ll Do

  • Support the development and launch of new cosmetic packaging
  • Assist in the creation and revision of 3D CAD models under the guidance of senior engineers
  • Participate in product testing and performance validation in the Dallas lab
  • Help draft and organize engineering documentation, including FMEAs (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis), PQPs (Product Performance Qualification)
  • Get exposure to drawing reviews and component stack-up analysis
  • Follow internal engineering processes and best practices
  • Maintain up-to-date technical drawings in line with standards
  • Communicate and log project updates using Salesforce system
  • Join internal product training sessions and team knowledge shares
  • Collaborate with design and marketing teams to align on packaging goals
  • Gain exposure to the principles and practices of regulatory compliance and sustainability in packaging
  • Support the completion of technical forms including specifications, test plans, and qualification reports
  • Collaborate with teams in Dallas and abroad—including Project Management, the Dallas Lab, Design and Package Engineering groups
  • Gain exposure to supply chain, customer requirements, and development processes
  • Begin to develop the ability to communicate technical details with internal teams and customers
