Position: Senior Fullstack Software Engineer (Contract)

About the Role
This role involves developing and maintaining robust cloud-native solutions with strong emphasis on AWS serverless architecture, data integration, and API management. The candidate will contribute to complex software development, integration with ERP systems (especially Workday), and automation of high-frequency data services.
Core Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy AWS cloud-based full stack applications using React and Node.js.
- Build and monitor scalable microservices with emphasis on performance, security, and reusability.
- Integrate applications with Workday using both SOAP and REST APIs.
- Ensure high data quality, process automation, and data consistency across enterprise systems.
- Create and maintain design specifications, perform unit testing, and produce technical documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams and support CI/CD automation using AWS CodePipeline.
Required Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in React, Node.js, JavaScript (ES6).
- AWS Services: Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, SNS/SQS, IAM, CloudWatch, RDS.
- Expertise in monitoring API logs, Lambda invocations, and handling diagnostics, retries, and failures.
- CI/CD: Experience with AWS CodePipeline, CloudFormation, Bitbucket, Jenkins.
- Infrastructure as Code: CloudFormation or similar scripting tools.
- Strong OO design and architectural principles
Workday Integration Skills
ERP/Workday Functional Knowledge
- Familiarity with Workday modules: HCM, Payroll, Financials, Procurement, Recruiting.
- Experience with Workday Studio or Eclipse-based development tools (nice to have).
- Understanding Workday-specific data and workflow structures for smooth data exchange.
SOAP API Integration
- Advanced handling of SOAP API requests/responses from AWS Lambda.
- Proficiency in WSDL parsing and usage of SoapUI, Postman for testing.
- Deep understanding of Workday SOAP patterns: Get_, Put_, Update_.
- Knowledge of WS-Security headers and OAuth bearer token authentication.
REST API Integration
- Mastery of REST API request/response processing via Lambda.
- Handling of REST features like pagination, filtering, and field expansions.
- Experience working with XML, JSON, and XSLT transformations.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Agile teams with a collaborative, supportive mindset.
- High analytical skills and ability to build monitoring tools for frequent data services.
- Fluency in TypeScript or Python (in AWS Lambda contexts).
- Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Appetite to learn and adopt new technologies.
Education and Certification
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent; advanced degrees preferred.
- Relevant AWS certifications.
Pay Rate Range: $80-$90 per hr (Depending on Experience)
