As Head of Financial Reporting & Control, you will lead our Financial Control and Financial Planning & Analysis teams, overseeing all aspects of budgeting, forecasting, statutory reporting and financial governance. You will manage a high-performing team of 3 direct and 11 indirect reports, ensuring robust financial planning, insightful reporting and strong collaboration across the organisation.

Key responsibilities:

The role's duties and accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead Melbourne Airport’s financial control and FP&A functions, ensuring accuracy and integrity of reporting and planning across the Group
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting and month-end processes, delivering high-quality analysis to support decision-making
  • Manage statutory and regulatory reporting, including audit coordination, ACCC reporting and Government submissions
  • Partner with the CFO, Executive Team and business units to influence financial outcomes and performance
  • Champion process and systems improvements, including enhancements to budgeting tools and financial planning software
  • Build capability and foster a high-performance culture across your team

The successful candidate will have:

  • CA or CPA qualification
  • Minimum 7 years of senior finance experience in a large corporate environment, ideally with Big 4 or consulting background
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience managing statutory and management reporting cycles
  • Advanced planning, budgeting and analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and data quality
  • Excellent systems knowledge, ideally including Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Adaptive Planning
  • Exceptional leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to perform in a complex, fast-paced and evolving environment
