- Manage day-to-day baggage coordination and ensure Make Up Position allocations are delivered.
- Support crisis responses and operational escalations, working closely with the IOC and Shift Leaders.
- Carry out baggage room safety checks and issue Penalty Infringement Notices where required.
- Support the Baggage Operations Manager with stakeholder engagement and GHA performance.
- Assist with root cause failure analysis and help prevent recurrence of system faults.
- Provide first-response support to the O&M contractor and coordinate communications.
- Monitor system performance and support allocation requirements across the Aviation Planning team.
- Work with the IOC and stakeholders to communicate capital works plans and assess operational impacts.
- Assist with coordination of maintenance planning.
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience in aviation, airport or baggage operations.
- Understanding of baggage flows, ground handling and operational systems (beneficial but not essential).
- Experience coordinating operational activities or projects.
- Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with stakeholders.
- Ability to prepare clear shift and incident reports and facilitate briefings.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with the confidence to challenge non-compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, and familiarity with Power BI.
- Ability to work effectively within a complex 24/7 operating environment.
We understand that not everyone will feel they meet all of these 100%. However, if you feel you have the attitude and aptitude to grow within our team, we invite you to apply and have a conversation with us about this position.
