This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a new and growing area within the Melbourne Airport team. The role operates on a rotating roster 4 days on / 4 days off, including early morning and afternoon shifts offering excellent work-life balance.
You will play a meaningful role in ensuring safer operations, building positive relationships with our airport partners, and creating a proactive, collaborative safety culture.
About the Roles:
The RSO team play a central role in building a strong, team-focused safety culture across our airfield. You’ll help reduce risks, support safer decision-making, and work closely with a variety of airport partners.
The role involves a balance of safety checks, operational engagement, rapid response to hazards, and close coordination with the wider aviation teams. It’s hands-on, people-focused, and perfect for someone who enjoys variety and making a real impact.
Who We’re Looking For:
We welcome applicants from a range of operational, safety, and frontline backgrounds, including those who may not have previously considered a career in aviation. Experience in any of the following areas would be highly regarded:
- Work Health & Safety
- Safety, training, or compliance roles
- Frontline operational environments
