The Hiring Manager stated this is a great opportunity for an experienced HV Network Access Planner or individual with Network Operations experience who wants a key crucial yet stable and long term role.”
Alternatively this is an opportunity to move away from the Network Control shift work and into the 9-5 environment.
Please note due to the nature of this role no remote working is available. The role is 100% onsite in the Network Control Room in the CBD.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring reliable and efficient and safe provision of the network access planning functions on the sub-transmission and distribution electrical assets.
- Communicating effectively with a wide range of stakeholders involved in the network access process.
- Allocating operational resources and the preparation of switching instructions within defined time lines.
In essence this role is responsible for efficient and safe operational planning which supports the control and coordination functions for access to Networks & Assets under the operational management of the Jemena Electricity Control Room.
To achieve personal success in this role you will possess prior knowledge and experience in the operation of an Electrical distribution network, with a desirable qualification of Diploma of ESI – Power Systems .
You will be someone who prides yourself on your attention to detail together with a VESI Authority to make applications for Electrical access qualification, or the ability to achieve with some training
Your ability to adapt to and embrace new technology within both field and Control Room environments will ensure you feel comfortable in the role.
Your background will also encompass knowledge and understanding of the VESI Green Book with proficiency of network operation procedures as well as Jemena network access systems.
Added to the above your experience will include knowledge of :
1)Sub transmission and distribution network protection and control schemes
2) Electrical distribution network elements, construction, maintenance and testing activities.
Whilst you are well supported with guidelines and policies this role requires a certain level of common sense and self-confidence as the distribution systems can be wide ranging and complex, often in short timeframes.
