FEED Project Manager

We’re looking for a thoughtful, collaborative and purpose-driven Front End Engineering Design (FEED) Project Manager to join our Asset & Operations team.
Working closely with the Asset and Operations, Commercial, Regulatory and Electricity Service Delivery teams you will ensure assigned projects are technically feasible, economically justified, meet regulatory obligations and are delivered to the required standard and in the committed timeframes. In this role, you’ll manage 6-8 projects of various size and complexity at any one time.
This is a role for someone who combines technical confidence with empathy, strong communication, and the ability to bring people together to achieve shared outcomes.
Leading with Clarity & Care
- Guide projects through early lifecycle development in line with our Project Management Methodology.
- Facilitate collaborative options analysis to ensure the best, most balanced solution is selected.
- Translate feasibility concepts into well-defined FEED packages with clear scope, schedule and budget.
- Reduce downstream risk through proactive planning and thoughtful decision-making.
- Prepare projects for confident Financial Investment Decisions.
- Continue to manage the customer and delivery teams through the full lifecycle of the project.
Partnering Across the Business
- Work closely with Asset & Operations and Services & Projects teams to ensure solutions are technically sound and operationally considered.
- Engage stakeholders early and meaningfully, ensuring impacts are understood and managed.
- Support community and regulatory engagement processes where required.
Delivering with Integrity
- Ensure compliance with Australian codes, legislation and internal technical standards.
- Develop transparent budgets and realistic schedules supported by sound commercial thinking.
- Identify risks early and create practical mitigation strategies.
- Uphold strong governance and quality standards across all assigned projects.
Championing Safety
- Promote a culture where everyone feels safe, respected and accountable.
- Demonstrate visible commitment to health, safety and environmental responsibilities.
About You
You’re someone who leads with confidence and care. You value collaboration, listen actively, and build trust with stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams.
You bring:
- Experience in the Australian energy utilities/services provider and contractor market in the electricity distribution sector
- A demonstrated track record of managing delivery of engineering feasibility, conceptual designs and customer commercials for engineering projects in value > $50M
- Strong project management / project delivery methodology experience
- Regulatory approvals experience
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Customer collaboration and engagement & presentation experience
- Confidence engaging regulators, contractors and customers.
- The ability to balance technical detail with big-picture strategic thinking.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering (or equivalent).
- CPPM accreditation (or willingness to obtain).
- Understanding of asset management and regulated infrastructure environments.
