Reporting to the Head of Insurance Product and Strategy, the Insurance Product Manager assists in the development and execution of the insurance product strategy; planning and progression of insurance related product changes; and other insurance related initiatives and activities. 

The opportunity

At Hostplus, the Insurance Product Manager plays a key role in supporting the development and execution of our insurance product strategy. You’ll assist in planning and implementing product changes, enhancing our insurance offering, and identifying opportunities through market and member insights. This role involves contributing to business cases for new products, refining existing offerings, and ensuring our insurance solutions continue to meet the evolving needs of our members.

In this dynamic position, you’ll also manage the day-to-day oversight of the insurance product portfolio, ensuring compliance, performance, and alignment with strategic goals. You’ll collaborate across teams to improve member experience, support regulatory and risk management efforts, and contribute to internal training and communications. About you

To be successful in this role, you will bring strong knowledge of superannuation and insurance, particularly within the structure of industry funds and relevant legislation such as the Superannuation Guarantee, Corporations Act, and MySuper. You will have experience in insurance product strategy, compliance, and claims processes, with the ability to translate complex rules into effective business solutions. Your strengths will include data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and clear communication, supported by proficiency in Microsoft Office and a strong focus on detail, organisation, and meeting deadlines.

Relevant qualifications such as RG 146 or a degree in finance or related field will be highly regarded.
