The opportunity
Hostplus is seeking a commercially astute IT Supplier and Procurement Manager to lead the supplier strategy and procurement function within our Technology division. This pivotal role will ensure our IT investments are financially sound, vendor relationships are high-performing, and procurement activities deliver quality outcomes aligned with our strategic and regulatory objectives.
Some Key Responsibilities:
- Supplier Management: Build strong vendor relationships, monitor performance, negotiate contracts, and resolve issues to ensure value and compliance.
- Procurement: Lead end-to-end sourcing of IT equipment and services, manage RFPs, and maintain accurate procurement records.
- Financial Oversight: Develop and manage IT budgets, control costs, validate invoices, and identify savings opportunities.
- Compliance & Risk: Ensure procurement activities meet policy and regulatory standards, while proactively managing supplier-related risks.
- Strategic Enablement: Align vendor capabilities with Hostplus’ technology strategy and drive continuous improvement in service delivery.
About you
- Proven experience in IT supplier management and procurement.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or related field.
- Professional certification in procurement or supply chain (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is highly regarded.
