The Regulatory Reporting and Data Manager is a key strategic role which will report into the Head of Investment Operations and Implementation.
The role will sit within the Investment Operations and Implementation Team and will involve working collaboratively with both the Hostplus Finance Team and the Investment Risk and Compliance Team.
The opportunity
This strategic role offers the chance to lead and shape Hostplus’s regulatory reporting and data management functions. You will oversee and coordinate APRA reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate submissions for both the Hostplus Superannuation Fund and the Hostplus Pooled Superannuation Trust. As the primary contact for APRA and ASIC investment reporting, you’ll manage key relationships—including with our Fund Administrator—to streamline and automate data solutions. You’ll also be responsible for regulatory reporting requirements for the Investments Team, including Portfolio Holding Disclosure Reports and the calculation and analysis of Total Investment Costs.
In addition, you’ll play a critical role in developing Standard Operating Procedures, managing escalations of compliance issues, and leading internal uplift programs across regulatory reporting, risk, and controls. You’ll represent Hostplus externally with regulators and industry groups, attend workshops, and stay ahead of evolving reporting obligations. This is a high-impact opportunity to drive innovation, enhance reporting capabilities, and shape the Investment Operations Team’s data strategy for future growth.
About you
- Extensive experience (5+ years) with the preparation and review of regulatory reporting requirements within the superannuation industry, including APRA Reporting Forms.
- Deep understanding of superannuation related APRA Reporting Standards and definitions, with a proven track record of being able to interpret and apply reporting requirements as they relate to Investments and Finance related forms.
- Experience in managing compliance obligations with respect to the APRA Reporting Form process and the FSCODA Act including the design, implementation and operation of controls over the reliable preparation of data to APRA.
- Well developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organisation.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and abilities, willingness to accept autonomy and responsibility in contributing to the success of Hostplus.
- An ability to embrace, accommodate and implement change management initiatives both within Hostplus and in collaboration with our external custodian and fund administrator.
- A Bachelor of Business, Finance or other relevant degree
- Relevant superannuation experience
- CA / CPA or other relevant qualifications preferred
