About the Role:

Join our team as a Field Quality Assessor, where you will play a crucial role in supporting our Quality Assurance Program. You will ensure compliance with regulatory codes and Enbridge Standards, coordinate QA activities, manage nonconformance incidents, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our Quality Management program across core projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure project execution complies with applicable regulatory codes and Enbridge Standards.
  • Utilize industry knowledge and historical quality incident data to identify and mitigate project risks, supporting assignments that fulfill the Quality Management Plan.
  • Collaborate with internal and external project groups to provide input and report on quality performance.
  • Triage, investigate, and manage quality nonconformance incidents, developing and implementing Corrective Actions and Preventative Actions (CAPAs).
  • Conduct orientation and training for inspectors and contractors on quality requirements, providing technical support regarding Enbridge specifications and standards through dynamic coaching.
  • Perform reviews of construction and red-line drawing records to ensure records are traceable, complete, verifiable, and compliant for turnover.
  • Visit active project sites to assess quality performance and ensure compliance with processes, procedures, and requirements. Complete and distribute field assessment results to construction teams.
  • Review and approve Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and Contractor Quality Plans, ensuring required Quality Control (QC) reports are conformant before project turnover.
  • Prepare for and participate in regulatory inspections of project construction.
  • Perform quality assurance of engineering through the review of drawing packages and project material procurement.
  • Support the continuous improvement of the Quality Management program.

Scope/Dimensions:

  • Operational Compliance Critical Role
  • Supports a total project portfolio between $50M-150M annually
  • Projects within the portfolio are Core Programs and may include multiple Pipeline and Facility Work Types.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Post-secondary degree or trade designation (preferred), with a minimum of 10 years of experience in pipeline and/or facilities projects (related to gas and oil).
  • Welding, coating, NDE, and other industry certifications (such as NACE/CIP, CWI, API, etc.) are preferred. Electrical experience is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of oil and gas regulatory codes (CFR, CSA).
  • Engineering, construction, or quality management experience is required.
  • Proven interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, and manage change.

Working Conditions:

  • This role requires travel, which may vary based on project demands and locations. Must have the ability to travel and maneuver in active construction sites (walking up variable grades and traversing ladders to access ditches).
  • 70% typical office environment.
  • 30% monthly field visits – not to include any manual labor.
