About the Role
Are you passionate about spatial data and environmental science? Do you thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy solving complex geospatial challenges? We’re looking for a talented Geographic Information System (GIS) Consultant to join our dynamic team and help deliver innovative GIS solutions to our clients.
As a GIS Consultant, you’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing GIS projects across diverse sectors. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, conduct spatial analysis, and contribute to the successful delivery of technical outputs that exceed client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver GIS expertise across projects in ecology, contaminated lands, environmental planning, mining, and geotechnical engineering
- Prepare technical reports, maps, spatial analysis, and data management scripts
- Manage small projects or discrete work packages, ensuring quality, scope, and budget alignment
- Support proposal preparation, costing, and coordination
- Monitor project risks and maintain high standards of compliance and safety (SHEQ)
- Participate in business development and mentoring programs
- Apply industry-standard techniques and contribute to continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in GIS or a related field
Experience & Skills
- 2–5 years of GIS experience across small to medium projects
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proficiency in GIS software and tools (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Experience in proposal writing and business systems
- Understanding of commercial and contractual project aspects
