The Opportunity
Join a national team of licensed asbestos assessors, certified occupational hygienists, senior toxicologists, and lab profressionals... all united by one mission: protecting worker health and helping clients meet their safety and compliance goals.
As a Consultant in Hazardous Materials & Occupational Hygiene, you’ll be on the front lines; identifying, evaluating, and controlling risks from hazardous materials and physical hazards. Your work will directly lift EHS standards, protect reputations, and support sustainability goals.
We’ve recently delivered projects for major players like: Chevron, Rio Tinto, BHP, Scentre Group, Westpac, AMPOL, CSIRO, SafeWork, and the Department of Finance.
This Perth-based role includes time at our Malaga lab and offers hybrid flexibility (1–2 WFH days/week when not on site). You’ll enjoy excellent working conditions, overtime opportunities, and a clear path to grow your career in a large, expert team.
What You’ll Do
- Develop monitoring and decontamination strategies, issue clearances
- Sample airborne contaminants (e.g. silica, dust, chemicals) and physical hazards (noise, vibration)
- Conduct site surveys and pre-demo HAZMAT assessments
- Provide on-site technical guidance during asbestos removal
- Assess indoor air quality, mould, and moisture, and recommend remediation strategies
- Prepare technical reports and proposals with support from senior specialists
About You
You’re a team player with a passion for making workplaces safer.
You bring:
- Experience with asbestos/HAZMAT surveys across various structures
- Strong initiative and a proactive mindset
- Willingness to travel, work remotely, and do occasional weekends/overtime
- Good report writing and project management skills
- A degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Hygiene, or similar
- Asbestos Assessor License (highly regarded)
- A valid Australian driver’s license
