Role Overview: As a Senior Consultant in Occupational Hygiene and Hazardous Materials at WSP, you will hold a position, playing a pivotal role in enhancing the capabilities and reputation of our Environmental consulting team. Lead and influence projects across various sectors, focusing on occupational hygiene, hazardous materials management, and environmental health and safety risks.

Responsibilities:

• Spearhead the development of innovative and sustainable solutions in occupational hygiene and hazardous materials management, driving excellence within the team.
• Lead the successful delivery of complex projects, ensuring comprehensive assessment and management of occupational and environmental health risks.
• Take a central role in developing high-level technical and strategic advice for clients, ensuring compliance and safety standards across all project phases.
• Cultivate and strengthen client relationships, driving project delivery and business development strategies.
• Oversee technical project delivery, ensuring the effective management of occupational hygiene and HazMat risks and maintaining the highest quality and safety standards.
• Assume a leadership role in project management, focusing on achieving desired outcomes for key clients and securing repeat business through exceptional service.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to a team of professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and shared responsibilities.
• Demonstrate leadership, decision-making, and mentoring skills to support the development of team members across all levels.
• Establish and maintain a track record and reputation of achievement, particularly in delivering comprehensive occupational hygiene and HazMat solutions through all project phases.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Possess a master's degree or equivalent in Occupational Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation and specialization.
• Hold relevant professional certifications, such as Certified Occupational Hygienist (COH) or equivalent, ensuring compliance with industry standards and practices.
• Bring extensive experience in occupational hygiene and hazardous materials management, including a proven track record in leadership roles.
• Showcase comprehensive expertise in assessing and managing occupational health and safety risks, with proficiency in developing and implementing strategic solutions.
• Exhibit a strong project management background with a history of successfully leading projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Showcase a highly motivated and innovative approach, maintaining a commitment to excellence and best practices in occupational hygiene and environmental management.
• Possess strong client relationship skills, showcasing experience in client engagement, business development, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
