From rail and transit to smart mobility, bridges, tunnels, and ports, we tackle complex challenges with creativity and precision. On the back of several project wins in the Eastern States, we are seeking a driven and experienced Track Package Lead to support the delivery of rail infrastructure projects across Australia. This role is responsible for leading the development of track design deliverables and ensuring technical excellence throughout all phases of project execution.

WSP encourages flexible working arrangements. Both maximum term and permanent contractual arrangements can be discussed.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead track design activities across various project stages and rail modes.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.
  • Oversee installation, maintenance, and testing of track infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and technical standards.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, and proposals.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to global technical innovation.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, and budgets for medium-sized projects.
  • Apply safety-in-design principles and relevant legislation.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or related.
  • Chartered Professional Engineer status.
  • 9+ years of experience in rail track design and delivery.
  • Current competencies with relevant Rail Authorities (e.g. MTM, V/Line, ARTC, RPEQ).
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Deep understanding of rail systems, safety regulations, and codes of practice.
