About the role
We have a 12-month fixed term opportunity within out IT Project Management team for a Project Leader. In this role, you will manage our smaller projects and/or work streams of our large projects supported by a senior project manager. You’ll also be involved in financial, vendor and contract management & project reporting to ensure the delivery of business capabilities.
Based in our Leederville office, this role will report to the Manager, IT Project Management.

About you:
You’ll have a degree in IT, Project Management, or equivalent, or considerable experience managing small to medium projects in a similar role. Knowledge of project management (PRINCE2, PMP, Agile) along with experience in tendering, commercial review, contract award and management, and demonstrated ability to collaborate with key external and internal stakeholders will ensure success in this role.
What the role will involve
- Manage resources & financials to ensure successful delivery for all allocated projects
- Responsible for performance of allocated projects including costs, efficient use of resources and meeting performance targets and objectives
- Create forecasts and analyse schedules, dependencies, costs, risks, and issues to ensure accurate health reporting of projects
- In collaboration with the Commercial Team, lead the necessary procurement activities and contractual documents.
- Support the Portfolio Directors and (Senior) Project Managers to manage portfolio level risks and eliminate blockers
- Monitor and maintain relevant controls, identify risks and work with the Manager of Project Management to mitigate risks and maintain operational delivery through BU initiatives and the Project Management Centre of Excellence.
