You’ll be conducting meter readings, testing taps and assisting with the maintenance of meters. You’ll be identifying water issues, reporting meter access issues and non-compliant water services, reviewing meter reports and assisting with customer queries.

What you can expect with this role

You’ll be conducting meter readings, testing taps and assisting with the maintenance of meters. You’ll be identifying water issues, reporting meter access issues and non-compliant water services, reviewing meter reports and assisting with customer queries. Your day will also include a lot of walking (walking over 10km per day) so you need to be physically fit, comfortable working alone and you need to always put safety first. This includes travel to outer lying areas, and other regional towns, with generous allowances for overnight stays.

Your skills and experience

If your local to the area, hold a WA Driving Licence (Class C), a strong awareness of safety, you must be able to walk over 10km a day and you must be comfortable working alone. If this sounds like a great job to you, try your hand (and feet) as a meter reader.
