About the role
We have a couple of permanent opportunities within our Operational technology team for Senior Engineers. These roles are responsible for providing specialist Operations Technology (OT) engineering knowledge for projects as part of the OT Process Control team. You will apply OT engineering expertise to the scoping, designing, constructing, commissioning, and transferal of regional assets, and contribute to the close out of regional engineering projects.

What the role will involve
- Lead technology and SCADA projects and provide technical advice and support on SCADA and control systems.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of a process capability maturity model and an Automation, Control and data collection asset management competency assessment framework.
- Configure and install various Operations Technology OT devices and services (e.g., various PLCs & RTUs).
- Develop control system programming and automation standards.
- Assist with the monitoring, control, review and forecasting of projects outcomes including time, cost, and quality.
- Contribute to identifying regional project risks, develop mitigation measures and share in their ongoing monitoring.
- Provide expert advice to regional stakeholders on OT engineering matters.
- Manage and coordinate the work of consultants.
Key skills and experience
- Degree level qualification in Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Previous experience in products like Siemens & Schneider Electric PLCs & RTUs and Geo SCADA preferred.
- Plant Control protocols including DNP3, Profibus, Modbus
- Demonstrates considerable knowledge of engineering principles and practices relating to design, development, implementation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of SCADA, instrumentation, automation and control systems.
- Ability to understand and act on technical investigative reports and proposals authorised by senior level management.
