Business Development Manager – Super Retail Commercial

With one of our team heading off on Parental Leave, we are looking for someone to join our Trades and Services team as a Business Development Manager – Wholesale and Export on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract based out of our Support Office located in Strathpine, QLD.

About the role

This role will see you take charge of the growth of sales and profits of your portfolio within our Wholesale and Export business. Whist maintaining and developing your existing customer relationships, you will also be responsible for the identification and development of new business opportunities.

  • Drive sales performance through development of sales budgets and targeted activity
  • Design and execute business plan with a focus on identifying new business opportunities and growth opportunities for existing partners
  • Build key account portfolio and develop strategic business plans to grow and develop these accounts measured through effective reporting
  • Create and maintain positive and mutually agreeable relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive business outcomes

To be successful in this position

  • You will have extensive Sales/Business Development or Account Management experience in Retail or Wholesale, ideally with experience in the one of the following portfolio segments: Grocery, Convenience Store or Service Stations. 
  • You have seasoned account management skills and understand how to develop opportunities within your existing client base
  • You understand how to hunt out new business opportunities and prospect new clients
  • You manage your time well and understand how to create your own operating rhythm and account management cadence
  • You will have strong financial acumen
