About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Group Payroll Operations Manager, the ECP Functional Specialist is responsible for the optimisation, and continuous improvement of the SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) platform. The role partners with People Operations, Digital & Technology, and business stakeholders to ensure payroll solutions are compliant, fit for purpose, and aligned to business requirements. The position provides expert functional advice, supports the design and implementation of system enhancements, and drives continuous improvement initiatives that enhance payroll service delivery, compliance, and employee experience. 

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Optimise the SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) platform, ensuring payroll solutions are compliant, efficient and aligned to business needs.
• Act as the ECP SME, leading payroll system support, stabilisation activities, incident resolution and root cause analysis.
• Partner with People Operations, Technology, vendors and business stakeholders to design, enhance and deliver scalable payroll solutions.
• Support the assessment and delivery of payroll system enhancements, including legislative, award, enterprise agreement and business-driven changes.
• Support testing and quality assurance activities for upgrades, releases and system changes, ensuring robust governance and successful deployment outcomes.
• Drive payroll compliance, risk management and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance payroll accuracy, efficiency and employee experience.
• Build organisational capability in SuccessFactors ECP through coaching, knowledge sharing, training and documentation.

You are a subject matter expert in SAP SuccessFactors ECP with strong payroll systems experience and a passion for continuous improvement. You thrive in a collaborative environment, enjoy solving complex challenges, and have a proven ability to translate business requirements into practical, compliant and scalable solutions. With a customer-focused mindset, you're motivated by delivering better outcomes for both the business and its people.

What you bring

• Deep functional expertise in SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) and Employee Central. 
• Demonstrated experience leading payroll system enhancements, configuration, and optimisation initiatives.  
• Strong understanding of Australian and New Zealand payroll legislation, superannuation, awards, enterprise agreements, and compliance requirements.  
• Experience translating business requirements into functional system solutions.
• Proven ability to manage stakeholders and influence outcomes across People, Payroll, Finance, and Technology functions.  
• Experience supporting payroll transformations, system implementations, or large-scale change initiatives.  
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement capability 
• Highly developed interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with strong customer focus and ability to understand issues, manage expectations, gain agreement, and resolve conflicts 

Additional information

This is a full-time, 12-month contract. We welcome applications from candidates based in Sydney or Brisbane, with the role operating from our rebel Home Ground Office in Rhodes (Sydney) or Strathpine Support Office (Brisbane), depending on your location.
