Here's an overview of our role:

Reporting to an inspirational Group Payroll Manager, you will lead a payroll team and be hands-on as well to ensure; efficient, timely and accurate payments to all employees, in accordance with statutory and legislative requirements. This will also cover the operational aspects of salary disbursement, overpayment recovery, leave management and reporting. You will effectively liaise with stakeholders across all levels as well as external providers.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to develop and implement payroll/system policies and procedures in line with statutory and legislative requirements. Furthermore, you will drive excellence and continuous improvement in HR/Payroll systems and processes, taking into account relevant benchmarked and peer group data.

A little about you:

  • Proven ability to effectively lead & coach a Payroll team, along with experience managing a Payroll team of a complex, multi-site organisation with several enterprise agreements
  • Experience in an environment of change and Trade industry experience
  • Demonstrable understanding of payroll issues and subsequent mitigation of risks
  • Proven application of legislative requirements and deliverables: PAYG, Payroll Tax, Superannuation
  • Strong understanding of all relevant legislations, ATO regulations, FBT & Superannuation legislation
