The Opportunity
We’re seeking a Quality – HSE Business Partner to help us drive continual improvement across our operations, based in Ringwood.
This pivotal role is responsible for the implementation and continuous improvement of Ampcontrol’s HSEQ Management Systems. You’ll play a key part in ensuring compliance, maintaining certifications, and embedding a strong culture of safety, quality, and sustainability throughout the business.
You will act as a trusted partner and subject matter expert, supporting all divisions with training, audits, risk management, and system improvements. With a strong focus on quality, you’ll be instrumental in shaping how Ampcontrol meets customer, regulatory, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support quality improvement initiatives, including new certification facilitation and audit coordination.
- Develop and enhance Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), incoming inspection regimes, and quality testing procedures for new products and materials.
- Act as the company quality assurance representative during external audits,client quality reviews and supplier management.
- Implement and maintain Ampcontrol’s Integrated Management Systems and supporting certification requirements including ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and other relevant standards and guidelines.
- Ensure our certified hazardous environment (Ex) products are manufactured in compliance with the product certification requirements and IEC 60079 series of standards.
- Ensure Ex product overhauls are performed in compliance with AS 3800 and IEC 60079.19
- Drive continual improvement through effective data analysis, root cause investigation, and corrective/preventative action management.
- Monitor quality incidents and data for trends, identifying opportunities for systemic improvement.
- Facilitate training, inductions, and communication initiatives that strengthen quality and HSEQ culture across the business.
- Champion incident reporting and lead incident investigations.
- Perform site an plant risk assessment and produce Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
- Advise and assist staff in meeting their HSEQ obligations.
About You
You’re a proactive and collaborative professional who thrives in environments where quality and safety drive performance. You have a keen eye for systems improvement, strong analytical skills, and the confidence to influence across all levels of the organisation.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Quality, Engineering, HSEQ, or related discipline.
- Proven experience implementing and managing Quality and HSEQ systems within manufacturing, engineering, or heavy industry environments.
- Sound understanding of relevant ISO and AS/NZS standards.
- Demonstrated experience conducting audits, investigations, and managing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
