We are seeking a meticulous Document Controller to oversee project documentation and become a valued member of our dynamic Mackay project delivery team in a permanent, full-time position. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our Service Delivery team in developing, implementing, and managing improvements to our document control processes.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Working with Project Managers and Engineers to improve the document control processes, procedures, and systems for projects.
  • Liaising with relevant Ampcontrol sections and ensuring alignment with existing Ampcontrol policies and procedures.
  • Developing and maintaining a suitable formal regime for document control that is easily understood and used by those working within the division.
  • Supporting and working with colleagues to ensure that the document control systems are being used effectively to achieve the aims of good, professional document control.
  • Developing and maintaining the relevant document libraries required.
  • Updating and educating the relevant parties on the procedures and processes that have been developed.
  • Ensuring there is a tracking system in place to monitor and manage the document development progress on all active work and tenders.
  • Ensuring that drawings and any other related technical documentation are properly managed and controlled between the project, design, and site teams.

What are we looking for from you?

Your ability to encourage colleagues to become effective users of the document control system will also be met with the following:

  • Proven experience in Document Control, ideally within the Mining, Infrastructure / Utilities, Oil & Gas, Construction, or relevant industries.
  • Experienced in the use of Aconex and SharePoint (Preferable). ProjectWise & EDMS (Advantageous).
  • Strong knowledge of document control processes and document management systems.
  • Advanced skills in relevant Microsoft Office software applications.
  • Confident in resolving problems - both technical and organisational implementation matters.
  • A high level of attention to detail, ensuring precision and accuracy in all aspects of work.
