With key projects acrss Sydney Water, WaterNSW and Hunter Water, we’re looking for a forward-thinking Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team and collaborate with talented colleagues across Australia.

What You’ll Do

Depending on your experience, you will:

  • Drive technical quality in water and wastewater infrastructure design projects
  • Produce mechanical and hydraulic designs across the full project lifecycle
  • Manage design on a range of projects or program work packages
  • Contribute to improved client satisfaction and project outcomes
  • Assist in project and design management as needed
  • Mentor emerging team members and collaborate nationally

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Eligible and/or working towards CPEng
  • Proven experience in engineering consultancy or design roles (water industry experience advantageous)
  • Technical skills in water/wastewater conveyance and treatment
  • Experience in hydraulic design, pump station design, CFD, and pipe stress analysis
  • Proficiency in equipment selection and specification
  • Familiarity with Plant 3D or Inventor (advantageous)
  • Knowledge of CHAIR, HAZOP, and Safety in Design practices
  • Strong communication skills and ability to prepare technical reports
