Power Systems Engineer

What You’ll Do

• Deliver key technical tasks across a diverse portfolio of generation and power‑system projects, ensuring rigorous engineering outcomes.
• Prepare clear, high‑quality technical reports for small to medium‑scale projects, communicating complex concepts with precision.
• Develop proposal scopes, methodologies and cost estimates for power‑system studies and related project work.
• Perform classical power‑system analysis and modelling for studies such as load flow, transient stability, generator performance (NER compliance), insulation coordination, cable/transformer energisation, steady‑state assessments, short‑circuit analysis, and protection settings/coordination.
• Conduct field validation of generator performance through commissioning activities and hold‑point testing, including preparation of detailed testing reports.

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Extensive experience in power‑system studies and associated engineering disciplines.
• Prior consultancy experience is highly regarded.
• Proven ability to mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering technical capability within the team.
• Strong competency in preparing and reviewing technical designs, reports and engineering documentation.
• Proficient in industry‑standard modelling tools such as PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerFactory, ETAP and SKM PTW.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly in both written and verbal formats.
