Increasing demand for engineering design services in South Australia and the Northern Territory has created an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electrical Drafter to join our Resources team in Adelaide. This is a great career opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary team who are focused on delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients across a range of market sectors.
What you’ll do:
Prepare detailed drawings utilising knowledge of relevant design principles and standards
Provide a link between the engineering team and drafting resources as required
Carrying out quality checks and procedures and provide training to junior team members
Assist senior staff with technical tasks in the day-to-day operation of the office
Working within a multi-disciplined engineering team to deliver design documentation for a range of projects
Support other sectors of the business on project activities ranging from feasibility to detailed CAD design
Provide ongoing continuous improvement and development inputs to create more efficient workflows within the team
Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of CAD technical standards and workflows
Be prepared to take a lead CAD role on select projects within a structural or multi-discipline environment
What we’ll love about you:
Diploma / Advanced Diploma in Engineering (or equivalent verifiable industry experience)
Understanding of Australian and New Zealand electrical and safety standards
Experience producing Single Line Diagrams, schematics, terminations and electrical layouts
Solid experience with AutoCAD and Microstation
Previous mining/industrial infrastructure experience not essential but highly regarded
Proactive mindset and a self-starter
