About the role 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a different to how we communicate with employees in our business. You will be responsible for leading a small team and working closely with others in the Internal Communications team to manage, develop and implement effective internal channels and events, aligned with our corporate priorities and values.

Working closely with key stakeholders in our business, you also will be there to understand their needs and help them communicate effectively with their teams and across the broader business.  

This is an exciting, fixed term opportunity until March 2026 based in our Leederville office.

What the role will involve 

  • Manage the development and production and assess effectiveness of internal communication channels consistent with the internal brand and tone, and in alignment with corporate strategy, priorities and values.
  • Manage the delivery of corporately supported events, assessing the effectiveness of each, to achieve employee engagement.
  • Lead content editorial planning with Team Lead - Internal Communications and Internal Communications team to ensure relevant information is shared across the business through appropriate channels.
  • Assess and measure the effectiveness of internal communications channels to ensure effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Monthly reporting on corporate channels, supported by ongoing analysis and recommendations as required.
  • Contribute to the business operations and future direction of internal communications by providing input and recommendations relating to communications strategy, team planning, processes, platforms and systems.

 

About you 

  • Degree level qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Media Management or other relevant discipline.
  • Considerable experience and demonstrated capability delivering strategic internal communication programs, advice and support in a large service-based organisation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills demonstrated by an ability to consistently produce clear and compelling information.
  • In-depth knowledge of available and proven communication channels.
  • Demonstrated ability to enhance employee engagement, commitment and advocacy.
  • Experience and demonstrated achievement in leading/influencing a small multidisciplinary team.
