About the Opportunity

  • The Automation Development Lead is a key member within the Development team and is responsible for developing the maturity of our automation capability.
  • The role will develop solutions that maximise the automation and reusability of tasks across various systems and solutions under guidance of a Senior Manager
  • Work collaboratively with the Test Manager and Solutions Delivery Guilds, including recommending approaches and upskilling other team members
  • Creating best practice standards and approaches that are fit for purpose for our organisation
  • Ensuring continuous improvement of automation practices. 

About the Team

The IS Development Team is responsible for ensuring that quality software solutions are delivered across Super Retail Group. The team is responsible for ensuring consistent, quality software or coded solutions are delivered utilising best practices. The team work together to refine these skills and keep abreast of new and emerging technologies.

To be successful in this role

  • You will be seasoned in Automation practices with a demonstrated experience in developing Automation Frameworks
  • Ability to develop and maintain a complex, highly integrated Automation toolset
  • Have strong leadership and influencing skills, coupled with a Growth Mindset
  • Have Automation skills using Jenkins, AWS services, GitHub, Python, JUnit (Java), NUnit (.NET), Selenium, etc
  • Familiarity with Cloud capabilities and concepts including Automation, CI/CD and Configuration Management
  • Experience in implementing and testing Web APIs using best practices, including REST API design
  • A strong understanding of Agile Methodologies
  • Knowledge/understanding of Performance Testing is desirable
