We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Workplace Relations Consultant to join our team based at our Support Office in Strathpine, Queensland.

About the role

This role will see you play a key part in our Workplace Relations team where you will use your extensive expertise and experience in providing support and advice in the areas of Employee and Industrial Relations as well as collaborating with our HR Business Partnering team and our Centres of Excellence.

Some of your key responsibilities may include:

  • Provide expert advice on policy and legislative interpretation
  • Provide guidance on investigation processes and outcome determinations
  • Provide support to our Case Managers in achieving resolution for Level 1 through to Level 4 cases
  • Take ownership of Level 5 Case Management including external representation
  • Consultation with the business and our HR teams on complex case matters
  • Conduct effective investigations, preparation of investigation reports and engagement with 3rd party investigators/advisors where relevant
  • Identify opportunities for business improvements related to Workplace Relations practices
  • Manage the maintenance and negotiation of Enterprise Agreements
  • Maintain a compliant approach to Award and Non-Award team member entitlements
  • Conducting wage audits as required and as part of the organisation’s governance structure  

To be successful in this position

  • You will have demonstrated experience in the areas of Employee Relations and Industrial Relations at an Intermediate to Senior Level
  • You are experienced with Organisational Governance, Reporting, and Wage and Entitlement Auditing
  • You have sound skills in Research and Project/Case Management
  • A high level of attention to detail and excellence in written communication
  • Experience in Stakeholder Management and Engagement with Senior Business Leaders
  • A strong understanding of related Australian Legislation is essential and exposure to related New Zealand legislation would be highly advantageous
