Our Service:
headspace Centres act as a one-stop-shop for young people who need help with mental health, physical health, alcohol and other drugs and/or work and study support .
On offer:
- Based in Nundah, QLD
- Fixed-Term, part-time (0.8 FTE) contract until 30/06/2026 (Must be available to work 11am - 7pm for one day of the week)

Role Overview:
As part of the multidisciplinary team, the Clinician will provide focussed psychological strategies tailored to meet the individual needs of the young people and families accessing the service within a community based mental health care setting. As well as working with relevant service systems to respond appropriately to their mental health and developmental needs.
- Providing high standard assessments, psychological, counselling and therapeutic interventions
- Opportunities to run group programs
- Liaising and working with internal and external stakeholders
- The Senior Mental Health Clinician is a key position with internal clinical escalation pathways and will be responsible for providing clinical supervision to a small number of clinicians.
Requirements:
- Must have one of the following: General AHPRA registration as a Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Mental Health Occupational Therapist OR Mental Health Nurse OR AASW registration as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker
- Advanced level of knowledge and skill to undertake contemporary clinical practice with a superior understanding within the continuum of care.
- Well-developed judgment and evaluation skills demonstrating a working understanding assessment and care planning.
- Ideally extensive and demonstrated experience providing clinical services to young people (12-25 years).
- Sound understanding of the public, non-government and private mental health systems and programs and associated non-mental health programs in a community setting
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills showing an ability and sensitivity to work with people who have or are at risk of developing a mental illness
- Proven ability to work creatively, collaboratively and effectively as a member of a team
- Demonstrated skills in organisation and time-management, including the ability to work under pressure and balance multiple tasks
- Excellent verbal communication and writing skills
- Support the Clinical Manager, or be delegated as appropriate, in coordination of multi-disciplinary team processes (including intake and case review processes) and the integration of service delivery, within a strengths based and trauma informed framework.
- Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a Blue Card
- Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance
